Last night I saw The Wrestler with Mickey Rourke and Marissa Tomei. It was really great. I couldn't stop myself from trying to figure out who The Ram was supposed to be. Clearly he was part Hulk Hogan and part Jake "the snake" Roberts and I guess part an unknown 50ish wrestler who never stopped living the dream.
It was incredibly warm at times, and other times very harsh. The choreorgaphy was really great, as they showed you the angles WWE and TNA try to hide from you.
Let me tell you this, for a 40 year oldish actress it was bold for Marisa Tomei to go topless. And it was worth the wait.
I think that Rourke and Tomei could get nominations for major awards.
why Marissa Tomei will not win an Oscar Best supporting Actress Oscars always go to writers, muses, nuns,royalty, old British ladies, and waitresses not strippers.

I've heard the movie is based on the life of Jake the snake Roberts. Aparantly he's had some hard times since his WWF days.
Marissa Tomei was also naked in Before the Devil Knows Your Dead. Plus in the nude scene she is being violated by Philip Seymore Hoffman. Im guessing you've had dreams like that before :-). Seriously though, it's a really good movie.
I look forward to seeing the Wrestler when it comes out on DVD.
