Expunging 40 years of regret

Someone once told me not to complain about things that happened in the past and you can no longer change. I was going to write posts about things I regret doing in these first 40 years on earth. But after losing part of the post already, I've reconsidered. 

I'm just going to look forward. I'll remember mistakes I've made and learn from them. But I'm not going to dwell in the past. My first nearly forty years have been more good than not, I'll make the next forty even better.

 The following forty wil be me just smugly basking in the glow of my awesome second forty and the great advances in science.
