As one goes through life and meets other people. You can’t help but compare yourself to them. He has a nicer car. She has a bigger house. They are always going on vacations. In fact Mark Zuckerberg, Dustin Moskovitz, Eduardo Saverin, Chris Hughes made a fortune by creating a template for people to brag about themselves and for others to be envious.
But people only post on Facebook one side of the story. Sometimes parents who have time to spend with their kids, can’t afford a new TV or iPhone. Someone who works so many hours to afford fancy toys and cars, never gets to see their kids because they get home so late from work. And there are those who get to spend the time, and have all the stuff ... it is alright to hate those people.
So be thankful for what you have. Because as they say The Grass is Always Greener.

Funny, Rachel and I were talking about this last night. We took Max to his tumbling class, and as that class was going on, one of the after school programs walked by to go out onto the outdoor playground. This was at 6:30 at night. We found it sad that there were still kids at aftercare this late in the evening. How much time do they actually get to spend with their parents? Assuming they go to bed at a normal hour (between 8 and 9PM), that's only like 1-2 hours a day at the most.
